The safety of anesthesia during cosmetic procedures has received increasing attention. Although most of these patients are healthy and classified as low risk (ASA I–II), serious or even fatal complications can still occur in non-operating-room anesthesia (NORA) settings due to insufficient monitoring, inadequate equipment, and inappropriate staffing. Therefore, clearly defining anesthesia-related risks, respecting the professional role of anesthesiologists, and implementing standardized operating protocol are crucial for ensuring patient safety—allowing people to pursue beauty while safeguarding their lives and health.
