  • Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques for Hand Fractures

Hand fractures are a common orthopedic injury that can significantly impact function and quality of life. The surgical techniques involving large incisions may lead to potential complications such as pain, infection, and scarring. Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has emerged as a promising alternative, offering numerous benefits for hand fracture treatment. The selection of an optimal MIS technique depends on various factors like fracture type, location, and severity.
This review provides an overview of various MIS techniques employed for hand fracture management, including intramedullary screw fixation, antegrade K-wire fixation, conjoined K-wire fixation, and Suzuki frame external fixation.
