Female genital rejuvenation procedure and functional improvement are increasing popular issues. Female patients care about not only functional problems but also aesthetic appearance. Autologous fat grafting is commonly utilized for volume restoration and rejuvenation. We describe our innovative operating technique employing micro autologous fat transplantation (MAFT) to improve female genital function and aesthetic appearance.
This was a prospective, nonrandomized trial. We applied MAFT with each delivered fat parcel accurately and consistently maintained at 1/90 mL during placement. The range amount of fat injected over the female genital is around 30 to 40 ml. Assessments were performed at baseline and Days 30 and 90 with the Female Sexual Function Index and Histology proof.
Micro-autologous fat injection is not only a treatment for vulvovaginal rejuvenation but also sexual function improvement without adverse events. Especially in the postpartum patients via vaginal delivery, the lubrication, dyspareunia and sexual function impairment can improve with statistical significance.
