Annals of Plastic Surgery (APS) publishes about 220 original articles a year.chosen from as many as 1600 annual submissions. An author seeking publication in APS should prepare a manuscript that clearly and as simply as possible presents its contents. The author should follow the journal's instructions, identify the best section of the journal for the manuscript, and use APS articles as models for writing and organization. A few manuscripts are accepted at first review; many are sent back for revision; and most are rejected. Most completed revisions are accepted. Rejection is a sad task, but the reviewers’ comments may help authors more effectively develop their works in the future.
