  • Reconstruction of Distal thumb defect: Modified Brunelli Flap- Case report

    Distal thumb reconstruction with exposure of bone, tendon, or joint has been a challenging for plastic surgeon. The chief goals of distal thumb extensive defects reconstruction are soft-tissue coverage of bone and length preservation. Brunelli flap was report to treat patients with moderate volar defects of distal thump. We describe a modified Brunelli flap for distal thumb extensive defects. In this case, we will share the method about modified Brunelli flap for the patient with distal thumb defect.
