These past years, our clinic saw an increase in unsatisfied patients with their previous infraeyebrow
excision conducted in other clinics. Infraeyebrow excision effectively reduces skin slack in the upper
eyelids and is performed in many facilities, and there is a rise in the number of people who have
infraeyebrow excision for rejuvenation. However, this seemingly easy operation can become
challenging for young surgeons. This is because infraeyebrow excision relies on surgeons' experience
and aesthetic sense, and yet it also requires the surgeon to determine the precise amount of the
resection and the scar position. Therefore, we came up with a simple standardized measurement
system focusing on symmetric balance that can deliver stable aesthetic results. We call it "TMS"
(Torii-gate Measurement System). After introducing TMS, apprehensive patients with their previous
results felt safer because the designing process involves a standardized system and precise
measurement. For this video, I will be giving the background of infraeyebrow excision in Japan.
Followed by the characteristics of TMS and move on to the procedure of TMS with examples.
